The Columbia Chapter of ACGA did a 'special exhibit' of American Brilliant cut glass for the October 2011 Palmer/Wirfs Antiques & Collectibles show in Portland, OR. This show is the largest show of this type west of the Mississippi. Chapter members shared 217 pieces of cut glass, engraved glass, color-to-clear glass and glass with sterling silver in different shapes and sizes.
Interesting tidbits about the show.......
** The two EXPO buildings housing the
show have 185,000 sq. feet of floor space
** The October show had 750
exhibitors utilizing 1020 10-ft. x 10-ft. booths
** Paid attendance exceeded 12,000
persons!
