T.G. Hawkes & Co. of Corning, NY signed both the inside of the recessed lid and the puntie on the base of this covered, footed candy jar.  Despite its simple yet elegant appearance, it is cut all over in a nailhead diamond and puntie design.  It stands 3 1/4-inches tall and has a top diameter of 3 3/4-inches.  The piece is very well-cut and completely wheel-polished on a very clear, water-white blank.  It is two VERY small flea bites short of being in mnt condition.  A fine cabinet piece that is very usable as well.
