The quality of the blank, the unusual shape and the unusual design make this one of the finest American Brilliant Cut Glass jugs we have seen in some time.

The blank is of the best metal; it is colorless and has a very brilliant, reflective cast.  The shape is esthetically pleasing, has a jaunty handle placement and quite an unusual flared-out, three-sided opening. There are teeth on the two rear 'spouts.'  These two spouts both pour just as well as the front spout, however.  The design -- "Eloise" by J. D. Bergen -- is deeply and precisely cut and is very well-polished . 

The jug is 7 1/2-inches tall, has a maximum diameter of 5 3/4-inches, weighs a hefty 5-lbs. and holds 5 cups.  The base has a 24-point rayed star.
