What a rare find!  This finely-crafted powder box has a sterling silver lid and an original (and very fragile) powder puff with a sterling silver knob that matches the lid.  Both silver pieces are monogrammed.  The top fits the glass perfectly.  The engraving on the glass and the pattern of the silver remind us of the work of either T.G. Hawkes or Sinclair.  If you can identify the cutting house or design, we would appreciate hearing from you.

The box has a maximum diameter of 4 3/4-inches and stands 2 1/2-inches tall.  Both the glass and the sterling silver are in better than extremely fine condition.  It is a most rare occurrence to find an original powder puff with its matching powder box.
