This 3 x 3 x 4-inch inkwell features a 'swirl-on-swirl' design.  The glass, which fluoresces an apple green, is deeply cut and beautifully polished in an over-the-shoulder swirl design that is complimented by the Gorham sterling silver lid which also features swirls.  The bottom has a very deeply-cut, 32-point rayed star and the piece is very heavy for its size.  The hinge works perfectly and the sterling top has been professionally polished.  Both the glass and the sterling are in near perfect condition except for wear marks on the bottom of the glass.
