Description:

The intense ruby color makes this 11 1/8-inch tall drinking chalice a delight to behold; it has a top rim diameter of 4 1/4-inches.  Although the clear stem and base fluoresce a light apple green -- usually the sign of an American blank -- the chalice is definitely a product of Val Saint Lambert.  The design is very well-cut and entirely wheel-polished; the base has a 10-point hobstar.  The mirror-like polish produces a silvery appearance that contrasts beautifully with the intense ruby color.  Both the top and base rims are original.  This is a great display piece in a very rare shape.
