Description:

This 12 3/4-inch tall champagne jug has a one-motif design consisting of six vertical columns of seven punties or bullseyes.  The prismatic effect is outstanding due to the clear, colorless glass and the finely-polished (by wheel) cutting.  The base, which has a 24-point hobstar, is 6-inches in diameter.  At 6.6-lbs., the piece is heavy for its size.  The silver, which has been professionally polished, bears the touchmark of Goodnow & Jenks of Boston, MA followed by 'sterling.'  Their trademark is the letters 'G' and 'J' on either side of a turtle!  Both the silver and glass are in extremely fine condition and there is no internal discoloration or residue in the jug.
